We had a wonderful two days of meeting together to celebrate Christmas! On Christmas Eve the Jeonju and Gwangju zones were together, then on Christmas Day Daejeon and Cheongju combined for a fun and inspirational day. It seems a tradition that they all want to hold on to, to watch a video, so this year's pick was Kungfu Panda. We also had a fun surprise for President Perriton - I had been taping each missionary doing an imitation of the President. They all love to mimic his accent, and he is constantly delighting everyone with words and phrases they have never heard of before. Mission mottos, classic instructions, and some sweet tributes were all recorded to his surprise and delight. We had a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and played a gift exchange game, ending the day with a very nice program of scripture and music from many of our very talented Elder and Sisters. Oh yes, possibly the biggest excitement of the day was the issuance of cell phones to each companionship. This is in accordance to a new worldwide policy. Besides being a safety factor, it will greatly enhance the efficiency of missionary work with the ability of missionaries to reach their contacts and investigators in a more timely manner.
