L to R: Elders Stanfill, Hill, Allen, Capps, Barrett and Mayberry
It gets harder and harder to say goodbye to these fine, wonderful missionaries who have served so faithfully and well. We love them and wish them the very best, until we meet again!
Since we were on the way to the airport to pick up one more new missionary, we dropped off these elders instead of sending them to the temple by train! A first!

I know that you will miss Elder Mayberry...but we sure are glad to have him back! Thanks for taking care of him for us and keeping us updated with your blog. Take care! :)
the trip was probably faster, but they didn't get to people watch like on the train. They probably got to on the way home though :)
In just three days, our son Elder Nathaniel Joseph Gardner will be joining you in Korea. How excited we are for him! He recently wrote to us of an experience he had in the MTC: he and his wonderful companion were teaching a nonmember native Korean who had volunteered to help with their language skills. As they taught, Elder Gardner shared with us that he was suddenly given words to speak that he didn't know he knew; he testified of God's love to this good Korean volunteer and asked if he would pray about the truthfulness of the message. When the man demurred at first, Elder Gardner testified again of God's love. The gentleman had tears in his eyes (as did the two elders), and he promised he would pray about the message. As Elder Gardner wrote to us, "The Spirit Speaks Korean!"
