Early Dismissal

Oh, my aching heart! How we will miss these absolutely stellar missionaries! This was/is our most unusual transfer yet, with 5 missionaries departing two weeks early to accommodate the start of the new schoolyear. Our new arrivals won't arrive until September 2nd. In the meantime, things are a bit discombobulated!

Sisters Henrie and Knowles
Elders Bergeron, Adams and McWhorter

Heading to catch the train to Seoul to begin the homeward journey.

Elder Adams' 21st birthday fell on the evening of our farewell dinner and testimony meeting. He's looking fine even with the accidental scalping during his last haircut!

English Camp Dance Instruction

This is a belated video post to highlight the indefatigable Sister Missionaries we have! Sisters Chong and Healey taught 12 dance sessions during the day !! and then called out the line dancing during the evening dance. Elders enjoyed the chance to join in and help demonstrate!

Summer English Camp

Over the past 3 days the Daejeon Stake held it's 2nd English Camp of the year for youth aged 12-17 at a lovely nearby mountain resort. Our Stake President, President Soh, has a vision and a passion for missionary work that has enabled members and missionaries to work together in this very successful endeavor. More than half of the participants were guests of church members who enjoyed sports, a variety of 12 different fun booths planned and operated by missionaries, special seminar presentations each day, and lots of food. Everyone went home happy and exhausted.
We hope to see similar success as at our Winter Camp six months ago which produced a 20% baptism rate of participants and their family members, sparked from interest in the church derived from the English Camp experience and friendshipping by members.
